about

Kat wrote this one last, inspired by Doll in the Backroom. It´s based on the noise the grandparent´s rocking chair makes on the wooden floor next door... a noise nobody else can hear.
While she was making this, I started writing the first chapters of my DOLL´s HOUSE novel.

lyrics

I’ve lost the count of days inside these musty walls
I count the spider webs
the steps i pace
the cracks along the floor
and that infernal creaking coming from the room next door

I still feel crawling though there’s no skin left to scratch
I bruise my fists against the wall
no one ever reacts
my sweet reflection is the only one that I have left

Good morning, sweetheart
the moon has risen full

You look lovely in the moonlight

Thank you, you look lovely too
Good morning, sweetheart
I promised to obey

You will follow each direction

What would you like to do today

The cricking creaking leaking liquid from the walls
monotonous incessant echo wooden nails inside my skull
sameness in succession sequence rusty razors up my spine
the voices from the mirror purr, predominate
I’m proselytized

Good morning, sweetheart
your skin has gotten pale

we are going to play a game now

Of course what game shall you unveil
Good morning, sweetheart
the blade is in my hand

draw it all across your body

It hurts much more than I had planned
Good morning, sweetheart
this red seems out of place

oh no that color it suits you

Thank you it feels warm on my face

Good morning, sweetheart
my vision’s growing dark
